From Hartford: Driving Interstate 91 South from Hartford, take Exit 22S (Route 9 South), to Exit 3 (Essex). Take a left at the end of the ramp (on to Rte. 154 South), then turn left at the first light on to West Avenue. Follow
directions below.

From New York & New Haven: Driving Interstate 95 North from New York & New Haven take Exit 69 (Route 9 North), to Exit 3 (Essex). Take a left at the end of the ramp (on to Rte. 154 North), then turn right at the first light on to West Avenue. Follow directions below.
For a more scenic trip . . . when driving Interstate 95 North, take Exit 65 (Westbrook). Take a left at the end of the ramp onto Route 153 North, and stay on this road approximately 6 miles. Go straight through a total of 4 sets of traffic lights (and 1 blinking yellow light), and follow
the directions below.

From Boston & Providence: Driving Interstate 95 South from Boston & Providence, take Exit 69 (Route 9 North), to Exit 3 (Essex). Take a left at the end of the ramp (on to Rte. 154 North), then turn right at the first light on to West Avenue. Follow
directions below.
Follow West Avenue to the stop sign. At the stop sign, continue on West Avenue by taking the middle road (located at about 1o’clock) to the bottom of the hill. Bear right onto Main Street (which is one way); continue down Main Street until the Griswold Inn is on the right-hand side. Then take a left on to Ferry Street, directly across from the "Gris". EIM is located at the bottom of Ferry Street.

PARKING: You are more than welcome to park on the left-hand side of Ferry Street, the right- or left-hand side of Pratt Street (the road going out of town), or in the dirt parking lot on the left-hand side of Pratt Street. Kindly observe the “No Parking” areas at Essex Boat Works and Essex Landing.

Bell "8" marks the entrance to the Connecticut River. Follow the channel markers starting between the entrance
jetties to Red Nun "26" taking care to observe the no-wake areas as indicated. (The Old Lyme Drawbridge, if
closed, will respond on VHF Channel 13 or to the appropriate horn signals.) Once in Essex Harbor, turn west into
the second anchorage fairway marked by the second set of two yellow cans. Our Shell fuel dock is just ahead.

further instructions.
Several airports are all within approximately 45 minutes of EIM. Please find the various details below to suit your needs:

Tweed New Haven Airport
in New Haven, CT serves Continental Express and USAir Express. There are two runways (5,600 and 3,600 feet).
